Where do you ship?

We ship anywhere in Canada. We currently do not ship outside Canada.

Do you offer pickup?

We are an online only store and currently do not offer pickup.

When are orders shipped?

Orders with livestock or plants are shipped every Monday. Orders without livestock or plants are usually shipped within 2 business days. Orders are shipped from Winnipeg, Manitoba.

What are the shipping costs?

Currently shipping costs are calculated automatically based on your cart size and weight. We plan on changing this to flat rate shipping as we grow bigger, but there is no ETA currently.

Are plants snail/pest free?

Unless otherwise stated, our plants are not snail free. Snails are in the majority of the tanks the plants are kept in to help keep the plants clean. Plants may contain "weed" plants such as duck weed but we try to rinse off as much as we can before shipping. Other than that, our plants are pest and algae free.

The leaves on my plant are yellowing, is it dead?

Yellowing leaves or leaves falling off the plant does not mean the plant is dead. There are multiple reasons why this would happen:

1. Plants are shipped in darkness which will cause older leaves to yellow.
2. Some plants may be grown out of water and have to transition to grow under water. Old leaves will slowly yellow as new leaves come out.
3. Difference in water parameters could cause some leaves to yellow while it's transitioning to the new water parameters.

Do you have a DOA policy?

Orders placed with EXPRESS shipping qualify for our DOA policy. If your livestock or plant is DOA, please take a photo in the original packaging within 2 hours of the delivery time and send it to us at [email protected] for us to review. If we agree that it's DOA we will offer a 110% refund as store credit for the affected items (shipping costs are not refunded). If you contact us after 2 hours of the delivery time you might not qualify for our DOA policy because we can not take responsibility for the items sitting outdoors in hot/cold weather for an extended period of time. Orders placed with shipping methods other than express do not qualify for our DOA policy.
