Banana leaves have the same benefits of Indian Almond Leaves. They are often used for Betta's and Shrimp can be used with many more fish species. Leaves will leak tannins into the water which may change ph levels, boil the leaves for a few minutes to lower the amount of tannins. Leaves will sink after a few days and normally lasts more than 1 month before decaying.
